FOUR RULES OF GUN SAFETY

When handling or working on firearms, follow the 4 Rules of Gun Safety to minimize risks and promote safety.  Also, reading the user manual should be the first thing to do before when working with any firearm.

1. Treat all firearms as if they are always loaded

Inspect the firearm to make sure it is clear before further handling. Never assume that the firearm is not loaded.  Drop the magazine, pull the bolt or slide back, swing the cylinder out, and make sure that there is not an object in the chamber.

2. Never let the muzzle cover anything that you are not willing to destroy

Exercise muzzle discipline. Situational awareness is critical to firearm safety. Consider your environment, and determine the safe direction for your firearm. Whether you are working at an indoor or outdoor range or at home keep the gun pointed in a safe direction 100% of the time whether you are setting up in your work area, installing the wrap, showing clear, or laying the firearm down on the bench.

3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot

The next item to exercise is the trigger discipline. At all times, never make a physical contact between your finger and the trigger until you are truly ready to shoot. This is to prevent the finger from pulling the trigger unintentionally when handling, moving, or working on the firearm or when there is an involuntary movement beyond conscious control.

4. Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it

Consider this rule, even if you are only working on your firearm and you do not intend to shoot. You are responsible for everything and everyone that come in contact with the firearm. If you do not have any valid target when working with your firearm, then do not let anything or anyone accidentally become the target.

GENERAL WARNINGS

Choking hazards could be present. Make sure to keep the film/wrap pieces safely away from small children, as well as firearm components, all tools, and scrap material that was trimmed off during film application.

Do not install the film on any internal components of firearms. Keep the film clear of all moving parts and areas that require a set amount of clearance to operate properly. Do not install on parts that generate a lot of heat, as the film will release from the surface.

Maintain a safety-conscious mentality throughout the entire film application process, including the safety of observers. Manage heat wisely. It is wise to keep a fire extinguisher nearby when working with heat.

QUICK 3-STEP INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

1. Surface Preparation

Clean exposed surfaces, removing debris, oil, and grease with a safe cleaner. Brush as needed. Dry surfaces thoroughly. Some disassembly may be required for hard to reach areas and to make film application easier on some parts.

2. Apply the Film

Feel free to remove and realign the film as needed. Use a little heat to safely stretch the film over smaller protrusions and slightly uneven surfaces and to fill recesses. Pop air bubbles with the tip of a knife and press the air out.

3. Trim and Smooth

Allow the film to cool before trimming off excess material throughout the process. Apply heat and pressure to help the film adhesive to completely bond to all surfaces. Reassemble as needed.
